I am a former student-athlete graduate from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Sport Management, with a minor in marketing. During my time at West Georgia, I had the pleasure of continuing my athletic career as a volleyball player and making it to the GSC Conference Championship match my senior campaign. While being an athlete, I had the privilege to participate in the 2018 Melt U Summer Internship Program which kick started my career and passion to work in sports.
I was at MELT for three summers, one as a melt u student and two as an intern coordinator. The people you meet and interact with are truly the best of the best in our industry. Throughout my time with MELT U, I built and fostered relationships. These relationships landed me in graduate school and landed me my first and second jobs out of school.
Caleb Davidson went to Auburn University (BBA Marketing – 2018) and was in MELT U Class of 2017. He is currently a Consumer Sales and Sports Marketing Specialist at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
In the summer of 2014 after graduating from Clemson University, I participated in the MELT internship program. While participating in the internship, I had the opportunity to work on The Coca-Cola Company account, assisting in learning about and managing the ESPN College GameDay program
You can NEVER network enough. Every situation you are in, both personally and professionally, could be a networking opportunity if you put your best foot forward. You never know when a former classmate, family friend, or gym buddy could help you make a key connection to jump start the next step of your career. Many speakers from MELT U emphasized this to us and I’ve found it to be very valuable advice!
